Nock. This fascinating work provides information about the inception of the Great Western Railway company, and the construction and development of the railway. Illustrated throughout with numerous maps and engravings. Volume II contains a folding map to the rear. Volume III contains a folding plate. Collated, complete.This edition is scarce to see in a three-volume set. In the publisher's original cloth bindings, with the original unclipped dust wrappers, apart from Volume 3, which has a price-clipped dust wrapper. Externally, cloth is in lovely condition. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean. Folding map and plate are both in excellent condition. Dust wrappers are slightly sunned to the spines but are otherwise smart and bright.
