Zustand: VERY GOOD. Early printing (seventy-sixth thousand) The fourth title in the Five Little Peppers series. Ever since the first story - 'The Five Little Peppers and How They Grew' was published in Wide Awake Magazine in the 1880's, these stories have been read and loved by generations of children (Sidney married the publisher of that magazine - Daniel Lothrup - and together they purchased Nathaniel Hawthorne's home in Concord, Massachusetts - the Wayside.) Although both the title, and the author's preface refer to this as the last in the series, it was not, of course! Charmingly illustrated with numerous full-page & smaller en-texte drawings by Jessie McDermott. Frontispiece. 437 pp. Very good condition in light green cloth with darker green illustrations and lettering.

First edition. An uncommon title by the author who is best known for the Five Littlle Pepper series. Bound in blue cloth with a black design on the front cover, gold lettering on the spine and front. Illustrated. Some overall soiling to the blue cloth, prev owner's name in pencil, but overall very good condition.

Tight and Near Fine in a bright, price-clipped, VG dustjacket, with light wear and creasing along the edges.
