Green cloth binding good, repair to head of the front joint, cloth a little marked and some rubbing to extremities. Contents good and tight, no foxing, tan end-papers browned and a little chipped at fore-edge and hinge, which has been repaired to the front. A good copy in a variant binding. Size: 8vo. Book.

He wrote an introduction to this book.] Dust jacket good/very good with a little general wear, a few nicks to edges, lightly marked, some fading to the spine, now protected in a clear, archival sleeve. Revised and annotated by Howard Saunders, a British businessman, who later in life became a noted ornithologist, specialising in gulls and terns. With additions by Henry Eliot Howard, an English amateur ornithologist, noted for being one of the first to describe territoriality behaviours in birds in a detailed manner. Illustrated by George Edward Lodge, a British illustrator of birds and an authority on falconry, Victor Prout, a British artist and photographer, and others. In the original green cloth binding. Externally, smart with light rubbing and minor bumping to the extremities. Minor fading to the spine. Hinges just starting but firm. Internally, firmly bound.
