Previous owner's inscription, neatly rendered, twice. Moderately toned text-block. Stated First Edition. The Crime Club, Inc., was an imprint of Doubleday, then a leader in the crime and mystery genre anyway; it published its first mystery in Kay Cleaver Strahan?s The Desert Moon Mystery in 1928 and went on for several decades to publish all and sundry including many well-known, best-loved classics of detection and mystery. Those included Leslie Charteris? The Saint series (50 novels) as well as Sax Rohmer?s Fu Manchu series (over two dozen). 185 pp.Member, I.O.B.A., C.B.A., and adherent to the highest ethical standards. Smidge of wear at crown and foot of spine. Endpapers toned. Dust jacket has abrasions upon front panel, small chip at top of spine. Wear and tiny tears along edges, age-toned.
