Hardcover. Small 8vo. Orange cloth with gilt spine lettering. vii, 120pp. Near fine. A sharp and tight first edition of this slender study by the noted Los Angeles attorney (Illinois born, 1891) remembered for this and many other texts on Lincoln and religion. This lovely copy bears a fine autograph addition: Tipped to the front pastedown is a Typed Note Signed from Lindstrom, 1p, 4¼" X 5½", n.p., n.y. Addressed to Arnold Gates (1914-93, noted Lincoln/Civil War scholar).Very good. On printed "From the Desk of Ralph G. Lindstrom" letterhead, Lindstrom simply notes "Here is copy of my remarks to the Guggenheim Memorial Foundation," signing simply "R" in black ink.
