Die lateinische Dissertation (mit einigen Passagen in Deutsch) behandelt das Leben der Heiligen Elisabeth. Der Plural "Bina Sanctarum Elisabetharum" (Beider Heiligen Elisabeth) bezieht sich wohl darauf, dass Elisabeth sowohl Patronin von Thüringen als auch Hessen ist. - "Elisabeth von Thüringen (geboren 1207 in Pressburg oder in Sárospatak (Ungarn) auf Burg Rákóczi; gestorben 16. oder 17. November 1231 in Marburg an der Lahn) war eine ungarische Prinzessin und deutsche Landgräfin. Sie wird auch Elisabeth von Ungarn genannt (ungarisch Árpád-házi Szent Erzsébet). Sie ist seit Pfingsten 1235 eine Heilige der katholischen Kirche und galt in Deutschland zeitweise auch als 'Nationalheilige'.
