Hardcover. Zustand: Near Fine. Zustand des Schutzumschlags: Near Fine. Thirteenth printing. Very good in price-clipped near very good dustwrapper sunned on the spine. Inscribed by the author to the great boxing champion Gene Tunney: "For Gene and Polly Tunney with warmest regards.* Newman Levy. March 7, 1955. *See especially page 13." Page 13 is a retelling of the Samson and Delilah story with Samson portrayed as a pugilist who refuses to fight, except for his country. This had an interesting parallel with Tunney's life. Tunney quit the ring in response to an ultimatum issued by his heiress fiancé, his only belligerent activities thereafter were as an officer in the Navy during WWII.

1st edition. Original Wrappers. 8vo. 64 pages. 21 cm. Written by two New York State Attorneys, this informative work traces the organizational and publishing histories of various Anti-semitic groups in Europe from the end of the first world war until the death camps; and in the second half of the work, details organized Anti-semitism in the United States. A very informative period work. During the Holocaust period and throughout the 1930s & 1940s, George J. Mintzer "ran a number of detectives working for the American Jewish Committee (AJC) to gather information on Antisemitic organizations and individuals. Over a period of five years they compiled a card index of fifty thousand individuals indicting their association. The AJC provided the FBI and various military intelligence offices access to the index of nationalists in America" (Wikipdia 2012). This book shares much of his findings. Subjects: Antisemitism - History. Jews - Europe. United States of America - Anti-semitism. OCLC: 4141097. Very good condition. (HOLO2-96-10-'ccelaxxx).
