The contents are bright and clean, with caricature illustrations throughout. This book is signed/inscribed by David Levine on the half title-page with an original drawing of a personified fountain pen, signed and dated by John Updike on the title-page. Laid-in at the front are a xeroxed copy of a David Levine caricature of himself, which has been signed/inscribed by Levine in ink at the bottom and a post-card signed by David Levine, with a very nice, original ink drawing of a lion. an excellent, unique copy of this David Levine/John Updike book.
