Front gutter incipiently cracking but firm, main internal problem is heavy tanning to endpapers with flecking to t.p., Contents and, slightly, to p.1 margins, ingrained dustiness to top edge. Green decorated beveled edge cloth covers generally clean but extensive, though mostly light, rubbing to all edges and extremeties, outer corners a little bumped with slight cloth damage, a colourless thin vertical trickle mark down back, only visible at an angle. Front cover has black lettered, gilt decorated title panel and black ornamented borders, spine has brief gilt title & publisher's imprint with black decorated fuller title down centre. Apparently undated though 1880s seems to be favoured estimate, however search for a sample of the titles in Educational list gave them during mid-1870s. A quite acceptable working/reference copy.
