Based on Lena Canada's 1978 book, "To Elvis, With Love," about her experience working at a home for disabled children, where she encouraged an eight year old girl with cerebral palsy to begin correspondence with her hero, Elvis Presley. Originally released under the book title and subsequently changed to "Touched by Love." Starring Diane Lane in her second feature film role as the disabled young girl.
