The first is an extremely detailed account of his accusation and trial; the second is a memoir of the crimes supposedly written by the murderer himself during the six weeks between his trial and his execution. Printed on fine laid paper. 8vo. Attractively bound in early 20th-century quarter calf and marbled boards. Original wraps of both works bound in. Light wear to binding. Internally FINE AND BRIGHT (except a bit of restoration to wraps of second work). Frère II, p. 201, apparently never having actually seen either work. Ce sont ses propres manuscrits qui sont ici publiés: l'histoire de sa vie et de ses crimes, depuis l'époque de sa naissance, jusqu'au moment où il a paru devant la Cour d'assises du Calvados.
