Luego, el paro se encargará de llenar sus vidas de frustraciones en un calendario vacío donde todos los días son tan festivos como desesperantes.Nuestro análisis pragmático se va a centrar en tres escenas: en la primera interviene, Santa (el protagonista principal), su abogado y el juez. En la segunda intervienen en alternancia (emisor-receptor) Santa y su abogado. En la tercera hay un emisor principal (mezclado con emisiones televisivas) y varios receptores a dos bandos ya que también se convierten en televidentes.Son tres escenarios distintos: sala del tribunal, pasillo de juzgados y un bar. De un espacio fijo inicial (en el juicio) pasamos a una distancia cercana en los pasillos y a un amplio espacio final (en el bar) entre los interlocutores (dada la escasez de clientes). De la escena inicial de frustración (juicio), pasamos al tedio y odio (en los pasillos) y al cansancio y actitud relajada y, sobre todo, reflexiva de la escena del bar: brazos o piernas cruzadas, falta de interés en el tema de conversación, penumbras, poco color y amarga resignación del protagonista principal.Los análisis pragmáticos analizados nos ayudan a entender los distintos mensajes comunicativos de las tres escenas que varían y se concretan en la figura del protagonista.…

Pero cuando realmente surge el realismo en Europa fue después de la Revolución francesa de 1848 como reacción al idealismo romántico y va a llegar a Hispanoamérica sobre todo de la mano de tres movimientos: La novela de la revolución mexicana, iniciada al finalizar la primera década del S. XX, la novela telúrica o de la tierra (que abarca la novela regionalista y la novela de la selva), y por último la novela indigenista. Este realismo latinoamericano se va a ocupar, sobre todo, por resaltar las costumbres propias de cada lugar, va a ser un realismo social que quería cambiar el mundo denunciando todo tipo de injusticias. Pronto nos encontramos con una división entre los novelistas de tradición realista para los que la realidad es, ante todo, social y los que consideran la realidad como algo ilusorio o al menos misterioso. Esta ambivalencia es la que me propongo analizar en obras como La ciudad y los perros de Vargas Llosa para quien la realidad de Perú había que describirla en todo su detalle de pobreza y corrupción o por el contrario una realidad puede ser ficticia como en Cien años de soledad de García Márquez. Ahora, cuando lo real se desvanezca, es cuando vamos a encontrar al novelista frente a su propia fantasía, con algo que para él es, o quiere hacernos ver que es, real y verdadero. Será como la liberación de su creación, de su fantasía. De la novela al cine, de Zola a Renoir.Como diría el propio Erich Fromm aquí lo que se hace es un duro retrato de la condición humana actual. La novela termina con un final abierto: no se sabe dónde, ni sobre qué catástrofe se parará el loco tren. Esta incierta y a la vez incontrolada trayectoria se asimila a un monstruo humano con instintos salvajes. Un tren que, como la de los personajes de la novela, no puede acabar con más sangre y más tragedia.El objetivo de este trabajo será el analizar las distintas voluntades sin rumbo que aparecen, desde la misma personificación de la locomotora hasta la de cada uno de los asesinos. I will be focusing my attention on Chinua Achebe from Nigeria (West Africa), author of the short story ¿Girls at War¿, and Ngugi Wa Thiong¿ös ¿A Meeting in the Dark¿, from Kenya (East Africa). Nonetheless, both short stories share an important contrast between modernity (as a result of European influence on the part of colonizers) and tradition (the combination of cultural and social features characterizing African people¿s identity). Language acts as another element which divides tradition (aboriginal languages) and modernity (language of the colonizer): Ngugui wa Thiong¿o supported the unique use of African languages in literature but it was after he wrote this story, which he wrote in English. He said that the language of the colonizer was a symbol of his identity, a way of accepting European culture. On the contrary, Achebe decided to write in English because he wanted to address to the whole nation by means of a central language. He even considered that the use of English opened up more opportunities for his message to be read throughout Europe. This Western cultural background and clash between European and original African identities results in the concept of cultural syncretism, which will be a key concept for this analysis. These short stories are written literary proof of how African people found themselves in a constant fight to keep their original believes and traditions, trying to achieve success through European literacy but never being accepted as fully Westernized, nor as fully Africans anymore.…
