Der ungarische Journalist und Politiker Béla Kun (1886-1938 Moskau) geriet 1916 in russische Kriegsgefangenschaft, in der er zum Anhänger der russischen Bolschewiki wurde. Im Dezember 1918 wurde er nach Ungarn entsandt, um dort…für eine kommunistische Revolution zu wirken. Er bildete 1919 eine Räteregierung aus Sozialisten und Kommunisten, in der er zwar nur als Volksbeauftragter für Außenbeziehungen fungierte, aber die mächtigste Figur war. Als die Räteregierung wenige Monate später gestürzt wurde, setzte sich Kun nach Österreich ab, wurde dort verhaftet und in Karlstein an der Thaya interniert, ehe ihm die Flucht in die Sowjetunion gelang. Dort fiel er 1938 den Stalinschen Säuberungen zum Opfer.- Das vordere Deckelbild zeigt Kun als Diktator, das hintere Deckelbild als Sträfling.- Innen wohlerhalten.
