Bacterial wilt caused by Ralstonia solanacearum is one of the most widespread diseases of solanaceous vegetables, viz., tomato, eggplant, chili, and potato in India and the world. The disease is serious and soil-borne in nature and damage of crop is widespread and loss is significant.
