To satisfy the urgent need of many scientists working in the field of molecular science to have at their working place a comprehensive, high quality, but inexpensive collection of at least the basic data of their field of interest, this volume summarizes the most important structures of free polyatomic molecules. All data have been selected from those listed in the data tables presented on more than 1600 pages in various volumes of the New Series of Landolt-Bömstein, 11/7, 11/15, 11/21 and 11/23. We hope to meet with this volume the needs of researchers and students in the wider fields of molecular science and materials engineering, forming a bridge between the laboratory and the sources of additional information in the libraries. Druck auf Anfrage Neuware - Printed after ordering - The Landolt-Börnstein volume II/30 contains data on the geometric parameters (internuclear distances, bond angles, dihedral angles of internal rotation, etc. ) of free polyatomic molecules including free radicals and molecular ions. This volume is made of two subvolumes, each containing the geometric parameters determined in the gas phase either by an analysis of the rotational constants (and sometimes the vibrational constants) obtained from microwave, infrared, Raman, electronic, and photoelectron spectroscopy or by an analysis of electron diffraction intensities. All data obtained by these methods have been critically evaluated and compiled. The data are presented separately for each molecule, together with original references and computer-drawn figure(s). In this second subvolume, II/30B, the structures of molecules with three or more than three carbon atoms are listed. Subvolume II/30A covers inorganic molecules and molecules containing one or two carbon atoms.
