This illustrated survey of de Kooning's paintings covers the period from 1938 through 1986. The catalogue, by curator Prather, is preceded by two critical essays: Sylvester's "Flesh Was the Reason" and Shiff's "Water and Lipstick: De Kooning in Transition." 12'' x 9.75''.
