When she gets word that he was killed she begins working as a prostitute, though he is alive and returns to London to find her. Set in London. 8 x 10 inches. Very Good, with creasing at the corners and along the right edge.

One photograph with a provenance stamp on the verso, and the other with the stamp of Twentieth Century-Fox. Based on the 1952 novel by Charles Shaw, about an Irish nun and an American Marine who find themselves stranded together on an island in the South Pacific during World War II. Two disparate souls, a US marine and a Catholic nun, are stranded on a deserted island together in the South Pacific during World War II. Nominated for two Academy Awards for Best Actress for Kerr and Best Screenplay. Set on Tuasiva Island, shot on location in Trinidad and Tobago. Mitchum shot two films in Trinidad/Tobago in 1956/1957, the other being Robert Parrish's "Fire Down Below" with Jack Lemmon and Rita Hayworth, and met Calypso musicians Mighty Sparrow and Lord Invador, inspiring him to release his own Calypso album "Calypso - Is Like So" in March 1957. 8 x 10 inches.
