Erstausgabe
Hardcover. Zustand: Fair. No Jacket. First Edition. Two parts in one volume (complete). At some stage the book was rebound in full leather (consequently the end papers are more recent). Please also note that pages 53-83 are damaged at the bottom corner. However, the damage has only intruded on the text at the last five pages. Otherwise, the book is gratifyingly aged. The leather boards have some light wear and storage marks. They are otherwise healthy and handsome. The spine has a shallow crease along its length. This is unobstructive. All illustrations are present. The contents do show their age, and there is ample evidence of avid use. The pages have flushes, spots, smears of foxing and age marks. However, and more importantly in this amenable book, the pages are by far clean, clear, comfortable, hale, certain, mild-mannered, conscientious, proud, companionable. fk.
