Boards are mildly warped.

[7], ix-xvi, 307, [1] pp. Bound in navy blue cloth, with black lettering and a pictorial inset on the front board and gilt lettering on the spine; blue topstain. Illustrated by a color frontispiece with a tissue guard, 61 additional plates, 3 fold-out plans of 11 ships, and numerous additional illustrations. A worn but sturdy copy of this maritime history. Wear to the spine tips and a bookplate on the front pastedown, gilt lettering rubbed away on the front board.

Zustand: Acceptable. Most items will be dispatched the same or the next working day. A readable copy. All pages and the cover are intact (dust cover may be missing). Pages can include considerable notes--in pen or highlighter--but notes cannot obscure the text. An acceptable condition vintage book due to heavy wear around the spine and to the board corners. The binding remains fine and the contents have dusty sections but are overall Good, with a nice selection of plates. Contains 6 extra fold-out pieces in the rear inner cover pocket, although these aren't confirmed to belong to the book and the expected number is unknown.
