An original colour lobby card (no.7) for the 1961 science fiction-fantasy from Saxon Films, based on the novels by Jules Verne and starring Vincent Price and Charles Bronsan. Condition A- (slight handling), dimensions approx. 13x 10 inches, mounted ready for framing. Fine example. A fantasy adventure; The fabulous story of the man who conquered the earth to save it. Screenwriter Richard Matheson combined two stories by Jules Verne for this adaptation: "Clipper of the Clouds" (1886) and its sequel "Master of the World" (1904). This scene shows a close-up of the balloonists in their basket. Note on format; Lobby cards are small posters on card stock (usually 11"x14" in a horizontal format) generally produced in sets of eight, intended for display in a cinema's foyer or lobby, usually consisting title and credits bordering one of the major scenes from the movie.
