Three vintage publicity photographs of Jane Frazee, circa 1941. Two photographs with mimeo snipes and studio stamps, crediting photographer Ray Jones, on the versos. One photograph has a matte finish with a "Proof Only" stamp on the top margin of the rectos and a publication stamp on the verso. From the archive of noted Hollywood still photographer Ray Jones. Born in Wisconsin on January 1, 1901, Jones worked for Paramount Pictures in the early 1930s, and went on to be the head of the still photography department at Universal Pictures in 1935, where he worked well into the 1950s. Actor, singer, and dancer, Jane Frazee began her career at the age of six, when, with her twelve year-old sister Ruth, formed the singing vaudeville act The Frazee Sisters. The act broke up in 1940 when Jane landed a leading role in "Melody and Moonlight," which shortly thereafter lead to Frazee being signed by Universal and featured in the high-grossing 1941 Abbott and Costello comedy "Buck Private." Frazee went on to appear in over 50 films and shorts between 1936 and 1956. 8 x 10 inches. Very Good plus.
