This edition is one of 556 copies that went on sale.In the publisher's original green cloth.Addressed to Lord Thomas of Suffolk, Maplet compiles an informative record of rocks, plants, trees, fungi and animals that leads to some fascinating seventeenth century descriptions of peacocks and rhinos. It gives great insight into how a British man in the Stuart era saw the natural world. In the publisher's original green cloth. Externally, very smart with minimal signs of shelf wear.
