Orné d'un état des 76 gravures originales de Louise Ibels, 38 gravures sur cuivres (dont 21 hors-texte), et 38 bois de Louise Ibels. Truffé du menu illustré, d'un cuivre en deux états et d'un croquis au crayon signé. Chemise-étui insolée sur le dos, coins légèrement émoussés, sinon bon état John Gay, né le 30 juin 1685 à Barnstaple, dans le Devon, et mort le 4 décembre 1732 à Londres, est un poète et dramaturge anglais.Il est surtout connu pour avoir écrit le livret de L'Opéra des gueux (1728), sur une musique de Johann Christoph Pepusch. Gay serait le premier Anglais à avoir écrit des fables en vers.
