The players are unaware, however, that the author is monitoring their moves in the game, in hopes of finding inspiration for his latest book. Two screenplays credited to noted screenwriters Jim Cash and Jack Epps, Jr., who would go on to write a number of successful action and crime films throughout the 1980s and 1990s, including "Top Gun" (1986), "Turner and Hooch" (1989), "Dick Tracy" (1990), and "Anaconda" (1997).
