Half leather and marbled boards with gilt paneled and lettered sp., marbled end-papers, covers clean and some rubbing to leather and very slightly to back boards, outer corners slightly bumped, dark area to bottom sp. suggestive of a label removal but no sign of this. lvi + 296, 13 sm.text figs, marbled edges; front pastedown has large 'The Institute of Bankers' lib .label over an earlier one, small scrap of paper to top facing end-paper of little consequence, front gutter opening but firm, rear gutter paper splitting, incipient gutter opening between pp. 44/45 leaving p.45/6 slightly proud, faint trace of page-edge tanning throughout. No further provenance marks. Rare. Despite faults a very acceptable copy of this important work. 14 cm x 22 cm.
