Soft cover. Zustand: Very Good. No Jacket. 1st Edition. THE ABUSES OF THE INTELLIGENCE AGENCIES BERMAN & HALPERIN EDITORS 1975 SOFTCOVER. I do not recall that back in 1975, the issue of the activities of the U.S. intelligence agencies was a major issue, beyond the allegations of espionage directed against those protesting the Vietnam War. However, clearly someone else did think it was a bigger issue and here is a book, titled: The Abuses of the Intelligence Agencies. This medium-sized soft cover book (6 x 9 inches, 185 pages) was edited by Jerry J. Berman and Morton H. Halperin and published by the Center for National Security Studies, Washington, D.C., dated 1975. This book is bound in light gray boards with a blue cloth quarter spine and blue titles. I quote from the first few lines of the Preface for your further information, as follows: This Report is an effort to inform the public about the abuses of power committed by the Intelligence Agencies of the United States Government in the name of national security. It brings together the facts about the intelligence and counterintelligence activities of the CIA, FBI, IRS, NSA, Secret Service, and Military Intelligence directed against American citizens and covert actions against foreign governments. Condition: This book is in very good condition. The covers are clean but show some very light edge wear, barely noticeable. Inside, a former owner has left his inked name on the inside of the cover. Otherwise, the book is unmarked and the pages are clean and bright, from cover to cover. The binding is tight and sound. This book is not ex-library or a remainder.
