In den WarenkorbDisbound. Zustand: Good. None (illustrator). A very scarce pamphlet recounting the false information given by Robert Jenison in support of Titus Oates and his fictitious Popish Plot. A very scarce work.ESTC citation number R4086.Collated, complete. An account of the perjured information given by Robert Jenison during the Popish Plot. Jenison provided information in support of the fictional Plot, though he was known to be a man of good social standing, seemingly giving into greed or revenge towards the victims. The Popish Plot was a fictitious conspiracy formed by Titus Oates, in which he alleges that there was a Catholic conspiracy to assassinate Charles II. This led to a fraught anti-Catholic hysteria in England and Scotland. At least 22 men were executed on Oates' accusations. Unbound, as issued. Internally, generally firmly bound, pages 5-8 detaching a little to the tail. Light edge wear to the leaves. Pages are lightly age-toned with the occasional spot and handling mark. Numerical ink to the head of the recto of each leaf. Very faint tide mark to the final leaf. Good. book.
