Paperback. Sadie King is a respected member of the Glebe community. She began life in Glasgow and migrated to Australia with her family in 1926. After experiencing some hardship during her growing up years she contributed to Australia's efforts in WWII. After moving to Glebe at the end of the war she joined the GPO and the Postal Workers Union. Then she became actively involved with the Labor Party, working tirelessly to improve conditions for women specifically and working people generally. She was awarded Membership of the Order of Australia as public recognition for her efforts. Very good condition. Inscription by author on title page.
