Zu seinen Vorbildern zählen Donald Judd und Marcel Broodthaers. "Das Buch ist im Titel als Handbuch bezeichnet, eine Art Gebrauchsanweisung zum Werk von Jan De Cock. Es enthält fünf Kapitel, jedes von ihnen ist einer wichtigen Serie von zwischen 1999 und 2012 geschaffenen Arbeiten gewidmet: "Vertigo or the Era of Free Catalogues", Collateral Damage", "Denkmal", "Repromotion" und "Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis". Sawka era una star della famosa scuola di poster polacca e un artista di spicco della controcultura. Tra la fine degli anni '60 e l'inizio degli anni '70, divenne noto in Polonia per i manifesti e le scenografie che disegnava per gruppi teatrali d'avanguardia. Book.
