In den WarenkorbZustand: Very Good+. [East Lansing, MI]: Years Press, 1990. Limited to 150 assemblages for sale during the art exhibition. 33 pages of mostly 8.5x11 loose paper of various stock weights, gloss, and color of typed, printed, or photocopied material, two of which are stapled to each other, enclosed in a bifolium plastic mylar sheet… and housed in a printed folding cardboard box alongside a vacuum cleaner bag (box, 29cm; smallest item a bifolium poem, 22cm). Pages lightly toned at margins with brief pencil to three names in the content list, otherwise clean throughout. Box creased and gently rubbed at margins with faint soiling; overall a Very Good or better example. A performance art piece produced by 27 artists, poets, and photographers on April 22nd, 1990 at the Kresge Art Museum of Michigan State University in honor of Earth Day. Thwarting the classic phrase "nature abhors a vacuum," these artists produced original work on the subject of vacuum cleaners, with all proceeds of their box sales going toward conservation. The collection includes a couple photos, rap song lyrics, and poems like Hoovers, Housewifery, And Husbands, and My Mother's Love Puppet. Publisher pulled from the third leaf and OCLC's three domestic listings at Michigan State, Lewis & Clarke College, and Bowling Green State University.
