XXVII; first published as "Theophrastus Paracelsus: Lebendiges Erbe" in Zurich in 1946, then translated in 1951 for the first Bollingen publication before Princeton University Press took over publication in 1979. An extremely academic collection of some of the major writings of Philippus Aureolus Theophrastus Bombastus von Hohenheim, more commonly known as "Paracelsus", the 16th century Swiss physician, philosopher, theologian and exploratory alchemist. Also known as "The Father of Toxicology" for his work on botanical and mineral poisons, and widely regarded as a prophet and mystic, with his "Prognostications" being a source text for a number of occult and hermetic groups, including the Rosicrucians.
