Paperback. Zustand: New. Language: English. About the Bok:-long-felt want. We have laboring ceaselessly in the thorny fields of historical and antiquarian research for 45 long years, for the sake of an ideal. There are few who are acquainted with the history of the Armenians in India, their condition, their traditions, and the sphere of their activities. Many are ignorant of their past, and theinfluence they exerted for good those olden days of turmoil and unrest. They came to this country by the overland route, and were well established in all the commercial centers long before the advent of any European traders into the country. The subject matter of the book is good as it explores the new avenues in the context of the Armenian history. About the Author:- Mesrovb Jacob Seth was an author, historian and school master of Classical Armenian at the Armenian College and Philanthropic Academy, Kolkata. Seth went to India for studies and was educated at the Armenian College, Calcutta. He attained success as a scholar, especially of classical Armenian, his favourite subject, of which he was an ardent lover and noted exponent. Although engaged in business, he considered this occupation a means of livelihood and devoted almost his entire attention to his literary activities. He displayed extraordinary aptitude for and interest in historical and antiquarian research and for many decades engaged himself energetically in the study of old manuscripts, letters, epitaphs and memorial tablets in churches and cemeteries throughout India and presenting these collectively and intelligently to his compatriots and to those interested in these studies. The Title 'Armenians In India: From The Earliest Times To The Present Day A Work Of Original Research written/authored/edited by Mesrovb Jacob Seth', published in the year 2020. "The exhibition When things cast no shadow consisted of two parts one taking place by day, one by night. The daytime part of the 5th Berlin Biennale presented mainly new productions by 50 artists of four generations shown at four different venues--at the KW Institute for Contemporary Art, the Neue Nationalgalerie, the Skulpturenpark Berlin_Zentrum and the Schinkel Pavilion. Many of the participating artists conceptualized and built their commissioned artworks explicitly in response to the specifically designated exhibition site. Already a few weeks prior to the official opening the first in a series of five solo exhibitions (curated by artists participating in the biennial) was launched at the Schinkel Pavilion as part of the 5th Berlin Biennale. Throughout the duration of the biennial these exhibitions gave insights into ways in which younger artists deal with topics such as the legacy of previous generations, modernity or various exhibition formats." -- publisher''s statement. Fine. Two volumes, both with covers and contents clean and unmarked.
