Red cloth covers virtually unworn, gilt-on-black sp.label + gilt lib. logo and date bottom sp., sl. darker 5 cm diam. disc-mark centre fr.cover where price-label removed. University of London pamphlet bindings from this period are of excellent quality, generally preserving originals in better condition than unbound copies. Issued as Carnegie Institution of Washington Publication No. 306. Top t.p. has 'Contributions to the Geology and Palaeontology of the West Indies', suggesting it is one of a sub-series.
