Seven vintage reference photographs from the UK release of the 1967 Czechoslovakian film. With printed mimeo snipes affixed to the verso. From the archive of film historian and author Joel Finler. A volunteer fire department in a provincial town plans a ball in honor of the chief's retirement, but the proceedings are marred with comic difficulty at every turn. The first color film directed by Milos Forman, a hallmark of the Czechoslovak New Wave, and the final film Forman directed in his native Czechoslovakia before relocating to the US in the late 1960s. 10 x 8 inches. Very Good plus.
