The reader will find revelations regarding new facts in this area, such as the finding that there is no disparity between Ibn Khaldun's reasoning in the Muqadimmah, and his reasoning in al-'Ibbar, based on different interpretations of possible meanings of the text. The majority of studies were concerned with reviewing the editing practice in many areas of the Islamic heritage, such as theology and Sufism. Some gave reasons for revising editions of previously published manuscripts in geography and Sufism, such as Mu'jam ma ista'jam, and al-Futuhat al-Makkiyyah, etc., while other studies presented surveys of the practice of critical editing of manuscripts around the world, such as in Bosnia-Herzegovina.

The topics addressed by the studies are: the concept of critical editing in jurisprudence, legal theory, fatw, and momentous events in both theory and practice; the requirement for the editor to absorb the culture within the area of practice; tools supporting the editor; knowledge of all the skills needed by the editor in critical editing on the theoretical level, such as the technical terminology, principles, history, approaches, problems, and main reference sources. The papers presented at this training course examined methodologies and pre requisites of the editor for editing manuscripts on jurisprudence; the basis for assessing manuscript copies; the difficulties and problems in editing books of jurisprudence; the process of evaluating the outcomes of the manuscript analysis; the methodological steps for the critical edition of jurisprudence text; the rules for dealing with the commentary on the text; and the importance of consulting catalogues of edited books. The proceedings included a lecture on rare jurisprudence and legal theory manuscripts held in Khizanat Ibn Ysuf in Marrakech, and also addressed fatwa development based on the Maghribi books on momentous events, and errors and their categories in editing legal theory manuscripts.

Then came a paper on International Organisations Stands on Crimes Against Humanity: an Islamic Perspective . It was followed by: Health as a Human Right, then The Rights of Non-Muslims in an Islamic Society . Lastly the paper to be delivered was: Organising for the Protection of Human Rights. Shaykh Ahmad Zaki Yamani presented a paper on Equality between Women and Men in Islam. It became clear from the papers that much of what the West considers to be human rights was indeed amongst the fundamental obligations in the Muslim system of beliefs.
