Taschenbuch. Zustand: Neu. Neuware - FOUR OF MANY THEMES DUAL NAME CHANGE Jacob's name changed to Israel; Jabbok changed to Peniel. Jacob was not made perfect in love, neither the love of God nor the love of his brother. Therefore, he was not Israel. On the contrary he turned his back to Peniel, the face of God. He fell down to fear, throwing himself at the feet of Esau, the Hated of God. AN EXALTED NAME CAST IN A FILTHY SWAMP Jacob brought shame to the exalted name of Israel as he bowed down to the ground seven times before Esau, as a slave, reverting back to the ford of the Jabbok, a bubbling dirty swamp. The origin of the word Jabbock in Arabic is Baqbaq. As when one listens to a bubbling dirty swamp in the silence of the night, one hears the sounds: 'Baqbaq . Baqbaq,' as the bubbles of noxious gases break up. ISRAEL- MY FIRST BORN SON 'Israel is My son, My firstborn.' 'When Israel was a child, I loved him, and out of Egypt I called my son.' This 'Archetype' was fulfilled in calling the first-born son, Christ, out of the Egypt after the death of Herod. He rose victorious on the third day, the first-born of the dead, the firstfruits of them that slept. For this reason he was called the Head of the 'Church of the Firstborn.' TO RESTORE DAVID'S FALLEN TENT Amos prophesy in chapter 9:11 called for the building again of the tabernacle of David, which was fallen down. 'That the residue of men might seek after the Lord, and all the Gentiles, upon whom my name is called,' Acts 15:17 KJV. This was fulfilled by the call of the Gentiles to enter into the Kingdom of God: Gentiles with Jews side by side, no differentiation between them, all one in Christ Jesus. And if you are Christ's, then you are Abraham's offspring, heir according to the promise. Dr. Isaiah is an Attending Surgeon. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the Royal College of Surgeons of England. He is a Presbyterian Minister and a Member of the Presbytery of Baltimore, Synod of Mid Atlantic of the Presbyterian Church (USA).

Taschenbuch. Zustand: Neu. Neuware - Dr. Isaiah is an Attending General Surgeon. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the Royal College of Surgeons of England. He is a Presbyterian Minister and a member of the Presbytery of Baltimore FOUR OF MANY THEMES I. THE FIRST DAY IS THIRD DAY, EIGHTH DAY AND THE 50TH DAY This is the day that the Lord has made. This day is the first day of the week. This day is the third day - The Morrow of the Sabbath - the eighth day. This day is the fiftieth day - The day of Pentecost - The Morrow of the Seventh Sabbath. II) THE FIRST AND THIRD DAY OF CREATION In 'the first day' of Creation, the light appeared vanishing the intense blackness of dark, and in 'the third day' the vegetative life began to vanquish the 'deadness' of the barren, desolate dry land. In the same manner in the New Creation: Light appeared in 'the first day of the week', when Christ rose from the dead on 'the third day', 'the Morrow after the Sabbath', the 'day of waving the sheaf of the firstfruits of harvest', firstborn among the dead - firstfruits of them that slept. III) AND HERE IS GREATER THAN THE TEMPLE We entered the temple on the Sabbath, and we saw redoubling of activity, and increasing bustle, over every movement and activity in the regular weekly days, therefore where is the Sabbath It vanished and emptied its place to the temple, in which the priests defile the Sabbath to accomplish the worship and temple service, 'and here is greater than the Temple'. IV) THE DAY IN WHICH COME OUT THE BRIGHT AND MORNING STAR And what a glorious 'Lord's day', in which dawn He brought to an end the darkness of the seventh day, in His grave. The day that in which come out the bright and morning star! (Rev 22:16), glaring the horizon, brightening the valleys and mountains, and enlightening the hearts and minds. It is 'the third day' in which it is brought in the sheaf, the beginning of harvest (Lev 23:10), a holy firstfruits. And what a joy is in the harvest, where the sower and reaper joy together.
