Die einzelnen Unterrichtsschritte werden am Beispiel der Unterrichtseinheit 'Spanien als Europas Krone' nachvollzogen, welche ein historisches Problem mithilfe einer allegorischen Karte zu bearbeiten sucht. Dabei gilt es zu klären, ob die Verwendung einer solch aufwendigen Methode von den eigentlichen Zielsetzungen des POGU ablenkt.
