Oversized saddle-stapled paperback (11 x 8.5 inches) in glossy color pictorial covers. A snugly bound and fresh copy. Publisher's original printed price to lower front cover inked out; mild stress crease to bottom front corner; light toning along the top edge of rear cover. Internally crisp and apparently unread. A fabulous and now-iconic underground cookbook offering remarkably practical and detailed instructions for preparing generous, multi-meal dishes on a tight budgetaimed at food stamp recipients and frugal radicals alike. Illustrated throughout with hilarious and skillfully rendered comic art by Greg Irons and Gilbert Shelton, both major figures in the counterculture and underground comix scene. A clean, sharp example of this cult favorite and still-useful artifact of early 1970s back-to-the-land culinary ingenuity. VG++ or better.
