Bridget Riley (1931-) is a pioneer in optical art, or Op-Art movement, a subset of abstractionists that used patterns, contrasting colors, and geometric lines to access specific parts of the brain, suggesting movement and dimension in novel ways.

Blind stamped title to top board, gilt lettering to spine, grey endpapers. Slight bleeding of blue dye from boards to lower edges, otherwise near fine copy with no inscriptions. Unclipped DJ has minor edge and surface wear, otherwise very good. Size: 9.75" Tall x 8.75" Wide. Book.
