Gray papercovered boards and spine with illustrated label mounted on the front and printed spine label. Spine and edges age-toned and modestly soiled, corners bumped, very good without dustwrapper as issued.

Hard covers, grey boards, black lettering spine and front label designed with book name etc, very minimal edge ware, small dint on the back board, small losses on the top and bottom of the spine. This hasn't affected the pages inside. No jacket, has plastic clear wrapper. Inside there are 7 numbered written pages, made of cardboard and have age spotting that hasn't affected the writing or 12 tipped in B&W etchings. Half title page, and there is tissue paper over most of the etchings. Given age the book is in a very good condition overall.

Oversized oblong volume in the publisher's original green-gray cloth boards with decorative title label to the front board. Illustrated with twelve full-page etchings by Francisco de Goya, each protected by its original printed tissue guard, and accompanied by a ten-page scholarly introduction by Malcolm C. Salaman. The plates are reproduced from proofs held in museums and private collections and are printed on quality paper stock, presented cleanly with strong tonal contrast. Condition: Good. Binding remains holding and usable, with a slight forward slant and front board starting at the gutter; light netting visible at the gutters and front board. Spine covering is largely perished, with loss of spine cloth and lettering; boards and text block remain attached and the volume holds together, though the spine is fragile. Interior pages are clean and unmarked with light, even toning. All twelve plates present, bright, and well-preserved, with all original tissue guards intact. An honest, complete copy of a substantial early-20th-century art book. Hardcover. Zustand: Near Fine. Zustand des Schutzumschlags: Good. W. Russell Flint (illustrator). 1st Edition. Nice copy of this collection of12 large plates in photogravure. Book has slight foxing to page edges and to some pages not affecting plates. All tissue guards present. Dust jacket has some loss to front at bottom right ( not affecting illustration ) small loss to rear top and to and bottom of spine, some marking mainly to rear and some small closed tears. Not price clipped. Now in a clear removable protective sleeve. It has done a great job protecting the book and is still attractive.
