Limited Edition. Marbled paper-covered boards, paper label; tall 8vo. 54 pp. Lovely letterpress work, limited to 250 copies. This copy is inscribed by the poet's widow, warmly, to friends, dated August 7, 1975. Light wear to corner tips and spine ends of paper-covered boards.

Octavo, xii, 357pp, [7]. Brown cloth, title stamped in black on the spine. Stated "First Trade Edition," or "Second printing," following a limited edition the same year. Top edge dyed red. Includes frontispiece portrait and 33 illustrations. In the publisher's scarce dust jacket, light sunning to the spine, a few short closed tears, rear hinge with closed tear, a very good example. (Monaghan, 3349) This copy is signed on the half title: "Witt Weymer / with respect and good wishes / Carl Sandburg." This work is divided into two parts; with the text of Part I by Carl Sandburg, and the Letters, Documents and Appendix by historian Paul M. Angle. Signed.
