gr8° (24x17), 127 S., mit fotograf Aufnahmen, ill OPbd mit goldTitel, ohne Gebrauchsspuren, offensichtlich ungelesen, [= Jagdliche Klassiker], Hugo Graf Lerchenfeld (1843-1925) entstammte einem niederbayerischen Adelsgeschlecht und war ein hervorragender bayerischer Diplomat seiner Zeit. Seine hier wiedergegebenen jagdlichen Erinnerungen führen uns in glücklichere Zeiten des Waidwerks. Mehr als ein gewöhnlicher Sterblicher hatte er von Jugend an Gelegenheiten, seinen jägerischen Neigungen nachzugehen. Und auch während seiner diplomatischen Laufbahn konnte er in den besten Revieren Mit teleuropas jagen. Trotz seiner großen jagdlichen Erfolge hat sich Graf Lerchenfeld niemals mit seinen Trophäen, die sich wahrhaftig sehen lassen konnten, irgendwie hervorgehoben, und stets war es nur ein Hirschgeweih, allerdings das jeweils beste, das im Arbeitszimmer dieses vornehmen 'Herrenjägers' in der bayerischen Gesandtschaft zu Berlin hing und dem Besucher verriet, dass der gewandte Diplomat auch wohl ein guter Jager sei.
