It was reprinted after his death, his signature is on the inside front cover as an owner's signature. Sir Hugh Springer was the first Registrar of the University College of West Indies, later the University of the West Indies and Barbados' third native Governor-General. He was named as one of the ten National Heroes of Barbados.
