Hardcover. Zustand: Very Good. No Jacket. 1st Edition. Here is an amazing little book about the year in flying in the United States (and elsewhere but mostly America). The book is titled: "Flying for 1937" and it was written and compiled by Howard Mingos. This small hard cover book (5 ¼ x 8 inches 256 pages) was published by the Aeronautical Chamber of Commerce of America of New York dated 1936 and the Fourth Annual Edition (so stated). The book is bound in sky blue boards with red titles and decorations on cover and spine. The endpapers are decorated with a photo image of a flotilla of biplanes in the skies. The book is amply illustrated with a great many vintage b&w photos of airplanes and closely related topics from the aeronautical world of 1936/37. Condition: This book is in very good condition. The hard covers are generally clean and presentable with a good deal of wear to the spine tips including some fraying of the material. The corners are also bumped. Inside there is a brief and dated gift inscription on the half-title. That is the only mark I found in the book which is otherwise clean and bright throughout and without toning or foxing. Both hinges are intact, and the binding is tight and sound. This book is not ex-library or a remainder.
