[a nice clean copy with no discernible wear, just a touch of age-toning to the edges of the text block; the jacket has a couple of insect-nibbled small holes at the edges and a short closed tear at the top of the front panel, and is lightly sun-tanned along the spine].…(B&W photographs) Musical comedy about a couple of Broadway sophisticates who travel to Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, to close a real estate deal, and find themselves thoroughly involved with the local Amish folk. The original Broadway production ran for over a year (461 performances). This was a review copy, and has the original publisher's slip laid in; although not marked as such, it comes from the collection of longtime New York Times film critic Bosley Crowther.
