This is the author's presentation copy, with an ink inscription to the first blank of 'Francis Pym, from and affectionate cousin. The Editor. July 1890'. This work is comprised of a collection of extracts from the diary of noted English diarist and naval administrator, who is known for his famous diary, which he kept for a decade in the 1600's. Extracts for this work were taken from the Mynors Bright edition. Compiled by solicitor, editor and book collector, Horace Pym. With a frontispiece of Samuel Pepys. In the publisher's original smart navy cloth binding. Externally, excellent, with light bumping to the spine and extremities, and the odd mark to boards. Age toning to endpapers.
