There are several editions of this volume, all dated 1882, but I think this is the first edition.7 x 10½" pp. xxvii + 355 with a frontispiece etching of Fox by Hubert Herkomer. Very good in brown cloth with black lining and gilt lettering to spine. Front and bottom edges untrimmed. Title page has red lettering. Firmly bound, brown staining to endpapers, foxing on title page, but otherwise clean and bright with no stains, labels, or stamps. No dustwrapper. Dedication from Ivy Fox, dated 1896.

This work is comprised of a collection of extracts from the diary of noted English diarist and naval administrator, who is known for his famous diary, which he kept for a decade in the 1600's.
