Le premier leporello de Warja Lavater, composé de 22 planches reproduites d'après les aquarelles de l'artiste, mesurant 9 cm x 1,93 m une fois déplié. Publié la même année en Suisse et à New York, ce charmant ouvrage est consacré à l?histoire du héros helvétique, Guillaume Tell. La légende, fournie en début d?ouvrage, est composée de 14 éléments : 7 pour les personnages, 3 pour des objets et 4 pour le décor. Le héros et son fils sont représentés par des points bleus ; les « opposants » (soldats, gouverneur, forteresse, bateau) par des formes anguleuses sombres (rectangles et triangles) ; les « adjuvants » (citoyens, forêt) par des points bruns ou verts. Bel exemplaire, en parfait état. 1962.
