Though it seems pamphlet was once folded in half, causing a crease mark to pages, they remain clean and in good reading condition. Containing special articles on "Disturbances in Ulster", Unionism in Ireland, and the Home Rule Bill in Committee (published two years before the 1914 Third Irish Home Rule Bill).

The Lynd copies of the first edition of this title, and of the response by T. S. In fair condition, on aged paper, with dogeared corners, staples slightly rusted, in worn wraps. Preceded by index and preface, of two pages apiece. Stated to be the '3rd Edition' at top right corner of front cover, and nowhere else. As in first edition, has reference on p.47 to 'a speech delivered in June last (1911)'. Fifty full-page points, from 'The Coming of the Union' and 'The Reason for the Union' to 'The McCann Case', 'Lord Rosebery's Nonsense' and 'The English Argument'.

Heavily worn, with lightly-rusted staples, and with the back wrap separated. The centre pages carry a map of 'The Real Position in Ulster', with explanatory note. Begins with 'Facsimile of Message from the Hon. A. Fisher, Premier of the Australian Commonwealth.', dated 16 February 1912. Quotations (some with portraits) from individuals from South Africa, Canada, Nova Scotia, Newfoundland, Australia, New Zealand. The general message is: 'Every Colony believes that Ireland's demand is just; every Colonial Prime Minister at the last Imperial Conference was a Home Ruler.' Among those from whom opinions have been obtained are Generals Botha and Smuts of South Africa.

10pp., 8vo. Contemporary duplicated typescript, on ten leaves held together by one corner with a brass stud. In fair condition, on lightly-aged paper with slight creasing at head. The present item is a paper presented to an unnamed committee. A version was published under the same title in 'Home Rule Problems', edited by Basil Williams, with an introduction by Viscount Haldane (London: P. S. King & Son, 1911). The opening paragraph reads: 'In writing this paper I wish to put in as strong a light as possible the objections to Home Rule, which one commonly hears from the Ulster Unionists. Many of these when stated before a reasonable audience will appear absurd, and undoubtedly are so. Some of them savour of selfishness, and show the spirit of the man who sees himself torn down from a position of unfair advantage. Others are based on the most conscientious feelings, which, however misguided, demand respect, and each and all of them are worthy of consideration, in order that where the objections are pure and disinterested, they may be answered, and where they are corrupt and venomous, they may be condemned and exposed.'.

The present letter relates to the founding by Davitt who inspired Mahatma Gandhi of the newspaper 'Labour World', in which he was an early promoter of the British Labour Party. 2pp, 12mo. Bifolium. In good condition, lightly aged and worn. Folded once. The reverse of the second leaf carries a full-page engraving of the 'Arundel Hotel, | Victoria Embankment, Strand, W.C.' He begins by informing Knox that 'Mr Stead' has handed him his 'favour to him of the 12th. inst.' He continues: 'The paper alluded to in the Review of Reviews is not to be started in Ireland. It will be published in London, will be named "The Labour World" and will be under the editorial direction of | Yours very truly | Michael Davitt.'.
