Soft cover. Zustand: New. How could Dante write an unforgettable poem for Beatrice, the woman he saw only twice in life? How did Orpheus travel to the depths of hell to reach Eurydice? Was the love between Simone De Bouviour and Sartre tainted by the need to manipulate others? This short story collection encompasses different shades of love. From Amrita Pritam and Sahir Ludhianvi s pining for each other, Dushyant and Shakuntala s struggle to unite, to Adele Hugo s transgressive pursuit of romance. Taking some of the most legendary love stories across history and mythology, the collection tries to parse the meaning of eternal devotion and the resilience of the human spirit in the face of tragedies and seemingly insurmountable obstacles.
