Hard decorative vellum boards with cloth spine, very minor rubbing/soiling. Contents clean and tight but for very slight soiling/spotting. Gift inscription inside front cover. Beautiful coloir illustrations by Fred Hines throughout. A charming little book featuring nature related quotations for each month of 1909 from the American poet and essayist Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803-1883).

Light cover soil, mainly a few finger smudges, with some rubbing to the extremities, just the beginnings of fraying to the spine ends, hinges internally lightly cracked but secure, front free endpaper detached but present, pages clean with no names or other markings. Hard Cover. Good. 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall.
